OSHA Issues Emergency Temporary Standard Rule
Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) and other healthcare providers need to act under a new COVID-19 standard from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). HFAP is sharing this information to remind providers of the deadlines for compliance.
OSHA recently announced a COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) to help protect unvaccinated and at-risk workers. Employers must have complied, as applicable, to majority of the standard by July 5, with the remaining elements to be in place by July 21.
To see if the ETS applies to your organization and to access the required elements, use this flow chart released by OSHA.
